Happy Walking Dead Day!

Technically it's Easter, but to me is WALKING DEAD DAY!! Woot woot!! We didn't do anything huge this year, as far as dinner goes. It was just me, LaVaughn, my aunt, and uncle. See, not much. And we didn't even technically have "dinner", it was mainly us stopping by and getting food to go.

We did end up going to town today, which was very exciting for me -- I got a new pair of scissors!! My old ones kicked the bucket Thursday and as you know, I badly need those for work.

Surprisingly that wraps up my day. Well, until The Walking Dead comes on, anyways.

Tomorrow will be slightly different, tomorrow I'm doing someone's senior pictures! It helps that it's not a complete stranger, but someone I used to work with at McDonald's. I promised her last fall that I would do her pictures, I just never got the opportunity. I'm SUPER excited, but also a tad nervous. I'm still really looking forward to it, though.

I guess that's all for now. Time for a little Dying Light before TWD! :D

Gorgeous chocolate strawberry cupcakes!

The following...

Not sure why we treated ourselves today, but LaVaughn and I decided to go to Farmington and spend money that didn't necessarily need to be spent. It's done and over with, so what can you do?

We started our excursion by going to Walmart, mainly for me to look at Essie nail polish. After spending over 20 minutes sampling and examining each color, I finally decided on one. I also found a new love for CND Vinylux and the best top coat of all time, Seche Vite! Since I didn't feel like spending $10 on each, I decided to find them on eBay, which I did for $5.50 EACH! Score! Can't wait to get those in the mail.

We drive straight across the parking lot to Game Stop, where we hoped to find Dying Light The Following, which we did. There's no beating around the bush here -- we bought it. Since this enhanced edition contains the original game, we plan on selling the old one.

We ended our night with a Moo Latte and Captain D's, both were out of this world delicious. It's been so long since we've gone to Farmington, it was kind of a nice change from Poplar Bluff, but kind of not. So yeah, that was our day. I hope yours was just a fruitful!

Probably the most exciting thing in the world!

And The Division! :D

And out the door I went...

Today I faced yet another long and tiresome drive to Cape. I've gone to Cape more in the last year that I have in the last 10 combined! I've taken my aunt several times, taken LaVaughn a couple times, then drove over to see my mom when she was in the hospital. It's a drive like no other, you can be so close to home, yet you're an hour away that ends up lasting 3.

It's just an all around miserable drive. But, I don't mind doing it for my loved ones -- which I can count on one hand, but that's an entirely different can of worms.

It wouldn't have been such a bad drive if I didn't have to get up at 9. It didn't make things any better when I didn't fall asleep until after 4 -- yeah, we've all been there before. It seems like the smallest things will wake you up, or keep you from falling asleep all together.

We met up with mom while we were there. She lives there, so it's a guaranteed meet up most times. If not, we never really know when we'll see each other again because we do live to far apart. It was nice to see her, just awkward because there wasn't really anywhere to actually sit and talk. We just hung around in the car the entire time, but it worked.

There's an infamous camel that we've talked about for almost a year now and never seen. Today was the day that he was no longer hidden. And believe it or not, I had the camera with me and now have proof that said camel DOES in fact, exist. Too bad the lighting sucked and it was a cloudy/dull/bright overcast.

So, that about sums up my day...

I'm topping the day off with Dying Light, a game which I'm OBSESSED with! And to think I didn't like this game when we first got it. I've been playing it so much the past couple days, I'm nearly done with it! With the main story line, not the entire game. So yeah, it's so on.

Pictures from the day:

This is the first time I've just taken random pictures with my new camera that aren't around the house.

She'll kill me for posting this, but I think it's adorable. Plus is shows off her new glasses.

Poor dear looks tired.

It doesn't help that she's not feeling well, but she's still beautiful.

Not sure why, but I LOVE this picture.

LaVaughn getting me back. I'll allow it because I took one of her... and posted it.

Now for the infamous camel!! I left all of these full size so that you're able to look at them large. I'm still stuck within the boundaries of a 55mm lens, so zoom is not even close to being an option:

There was also this guy.

Does this not look like the Camel cigarettes camel?

Keep on the sunny side...

Today is an extremely joyous day for me -- my baby is home!! Words cannot describe the overgrowth of excitement I have inside of me right now! Considering everything that took place the last couple days, I really needed some good. Not that I have a right to complain, by any means.

Poor Una was completely shell shocked when we picked her up. She was practically in the fetal position, all balled up in the back of her carrier. The vet told us that she hadn't used the little box since she's been there, only when she expressed her bladder before surgery yesterday. She also hasn't ate -- my poor baby!

After being in the car with us for no less than 10 minutes, she started "coming back to live", so to say. She started rubbing on us and even ate a few treats. When we stopped by the store we made sure to get her a can of food -- which she was more than happy to have.

The poor thing was literally busting to pee, so she had a teensy accident in the back of the car. Luckily it was on the floor mat, so no harm no foul.

As if getting Una back wasn't exciting enough, the day was really made excellent when we stopped by Walmart and picked up Dying Light!! LaVaughn and I have been anticipating this game since late summer, and now the day is finally here! I cannot wait to give it a try, it looks awesome!

Aside from that, LaVaughn got me a GORGEOUS shade of nail polish. It's Covergirl Outlast - Inferno! I saw it Monday and desperately wanted it, but passed. LaVaughn snatched it up for me today and I couldn't appreciate it more. I've slowed down tremendously on buying nail polish. For a while, I was buying - on average - 5 bottles a week. Sometimes more, sometimes less. It's an illness.

That's all I have for now. I dying to spend time with my cat and play Dying Light. Until next time...

I know it's inappropriate, but I was just so happy to see her home.

Here's Dying Light!!!

And now for far too many picture of Una:

This cat has wicked green eyes.

Here's the new Covergirl Outlast Inferno!

And just so she's not left out, Miss Zoe.
