Who'll stop the rain?...

Ugh, the past 24 hours have been a nightmare! But, thanks to PayPal and a very speedy mail delivery, it made everything a little better. So, here we go...

Well Wednesday I had to take our grandma to dialysis. And while I was gone, LaVaughn was waiting on PayPal to go through. The lady that we're getting our sugar gliders from needed a $100 deposit on each glider. and this had to be done through PayPal. Anyway, we called and text each other all day. And then finally, I got the call. LaVaughn told me that the money was in there. And as fast as we got it, we sent it. I called her to let her know, but she wasn't home. So I talked to her husband instead. He told me that he would let her know. Then later that night, we got an email from her saying, "Thanks, I got the deposit." we were so stoked. And now on her site (exoticsugargliders.com) it says "Deposit Taken" under our beautiful little gliders.

Ok, lets talk about yesterday. Around 11:30 in the AM, I woke up. But, it wasn't to sunshine and rainbows, it was to a freakin tornado! Well. not literally, but pretty much. The wind was almost blowing us away. But at the time, I didn't think too much of it. I was more worried about the electricity being out than anything else. So around 12:30, LaVaughn got up. We both sat there staring at the wall for like an hour. Then LaVaughn looked at me and was like, " I wonder if we got any of the stuff that we ordered?" so we got up and went outside. And sure enough, there was a big box on our car. Not sure why the mail lady/man puts the packages on our car and not on our porch. But anyway, we got some of the glorious stuff that we ordered from sugar-glider-store.com. It is the best site for sugar supplies. We got some freeze dried mealworms, blueberry and yogurt drops, pineapple and papaya sprinkles, apple wood chew sticks, and a stainless steel food dish that attaches to the side of the cage. It's all so awesome. We ordered more stuff Thursday. So hopefully we get it by Monday. Anyway, back to the blackout. We were in the dark for over 24 hours! It was HORRIBLE. I think I would rather chew my fingers off than have to go through that again. We were so bored. we just sat in the dark all night. Today started out just as sucky. Considering we woke up to no electricity... again. After about 2 hours of sitting around, we decided that we couldn't take it another night. We were going to go stay at a hotel. So I called and made the reservations. We were pretty happy about that. And then, when we were getting ready to go get some stuff, the lights came on. We were SO stoked. Never have I ever been so happy. It was a wonderful feeling. That's about all of that though. I don't like reminiscing too much.

In other news, we got a couple new pictures of our gliders the other day. They're pretty small, but oh so cute. We found then on one of the lady's sites. Hopefully we get some more before too long. The lady said that she would send us some pictures when she got time to take some. so we have that to look forward to. But I thinks that's all about them for now.

Well, this concludes today's blog. Hope you all enjoyed the ups and downs I had to write about. Until next time. You know what to do. Peace

Song of the day: Here Comes The Sun by The Beatles

This one is Gale, the one I'm getting.

This one is April, the one LaVaughn's getting. They are so adorable...

This is what the storm did to our fire bush. And the bad thing, we slept through most of it.

This is just a picture of me and Fletcher that I took Friday.

This is all the awesome stuff that we got in the mail.

This is the fruit sprinkles.

This is the blueberry and yogurt drops.

This is the mealworms.

The apple wood sticks.

And last, but not least, our food dish.

Just got home...

I just got back from the store. I had to get a few necessities that we were pretty much out of. Like for example: soap, alcohol, detergent, cat litter, and the most important thing... Mountain Dew. All in all it was a pretty nice little experience.

I stopped by RedBox and picked up a few movies. We hadn't been there in a couple weeks, so there was a few new ones. I got The Uninvited, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and Step Brothers. We haven't seen the first two, but come on, who hasn't seen Step Brothers? It's the best Will Ferrell movie I've seen in a long time. And not to mention, it has Seth Rogen in it. It's like an all around awesome movie. So expect some reviews in the next day or two.

While I was in Walmart I looked at some of the Digital Camcorders. We've been talking about getting a new one here lately. Ours is so old, we haven't even been using it. We use our camera for video anymore. They had some pretty nice ones for a fairly nice price. So, we have that to look forward to, lol.

I think that's about all for now. If anything new comes up, I'll let you know. So, peace out and rock hard.

Just to fill you in...

The last few days have been so... what's the word? I can't really describe it. It's had some ups and some downs. Thankfully, more ups than downs.

Ash most of you should know, we were supposed to get a sugar glider like almost two weeks ago. And so far, nothing. Well Friday, we said that if PetsWay didn't get any in, we would have to get the one from our local pet store. Well guess what? They didn't get them in. So we said screw PetsWay and decided to go to our pet store. Well, LaVaughn decided to call and ask her to hold it until we got there. But when she did, the lady was like, "Oh sorry, we already sold it." We were so upset. We called like every pet store in a 50 mile radius, but we had no luck. So then after about 15 minutes of us screaming, we decided to leave town for a while. And where did we go... Fredericktown. It's a small little town not far from where we live.

Well when we got there, we decided to go to the City Lake/Park. Luckily, there was no one there. Except down the trail to the water. That's where we really wanted to go. But there was like a load of fisherman there. so we stayed at the Park part. We mostly wanted to take some picture and let Milla walk around for a while. It was a pretty nice day for 10:00 in the morning. So, after we left there, we went to an old ass graveyard there.

When we got there it was starting to get really cloudy and rainy (go figure). But that didn't stop us. We drove around and took a few good pictures. Then we decided to get out and walk to the center of the graveyard and look at this one really old looking headstone. After we got done looking at that, LaVaughn turned around and was like, "There's a dog." So we like ran back to the car. But the dog just looked at us like we were retarded or something. Then it ran off. Then after we left, we decided to go to Farmington.

We mostly went there because there was supposed to be a pet store on the way. well, we never found that, but it was a pretty nice drive... until we got there. Whenever we got into town, they started playing the tornado sirens. That was supper fun. So while those were going off, we decided to get some Arby's and go home.

After we got home and everything, we thought we would try and find a sugar glider breeder close to Missouri. well after about an hour of me looking, I had nothing. Then LaVaughn gave it a shot. So found a place after like 10 minutes. And oh my god, there were two adorable little baby female sugar gliders for sale. The only thing was, they wouldn't be ready until June 2nd. And... they were in Arkansas. And not just over the state line, they were on the other side of Arkansas. Then LaVaughn kept reading and read that the lady shipped! We were so stoked. LaVaughn wrote out this really long and in depth email to the lady asking a few questions. And for some reason, we didn't think it sent. So I decided to call her. Well, she was super nice and answered every question I asked. Then she was like, "When you buy two do the same sex, you get a discount." so that would make the first one $200 and the second $175. Not a huge discount, but that's $25 we get to keep. Then she started telling me about the shipping. She was like, "It's $200 flat rate air shipping." my jaws dropped. Then she was like, "That's the air plane companies policy." then I asked if we could just pick them up, and she was like, "Yea." but then I remembered that they would be ready on different dates. The one I want will be ready May 30th and the one LaVaughn wants will be ready June 2nd. So I asked her if it would be ok to just get them both the 2nd. And she was totally fine with that. Then the super nice lady was like, "After they can leave their mothers, I'll put them together so that they'll get used to each other if that's what you want." and then I was like, "Hell yes that's what I want!" then after that we started discussing the payment. She said that she has to have $200 down and the rest like a week before we come and get them. And thankfully, this will al be done through PayPal. After that we started discussing how to get there. Since were not familiar with AR, we were a little freaked out, but not too much. We looked up directions on mapquest.com and got a pretty good one. Then LaVaughn decided to call her dad and talk to him about the directions. Cause come on, he is a truck driver. And I would trust his directions over mapquest.com. It's gong to be like over 350 miles and 6 1/2 hours. It's going to be a long day. But totally worth it. A road trip and two beautiful sugar gliders, all in one day.

What else, oh yea. We painted our kitchen last night. We got the paint and all the supplies like a month ago. We just never got around to it. Then last night around 9:30, we decided to start. And once we started, we didn't want to stop. So 3 1/2 hours and 3 paint coats later, we have a beautiful white kitchen. I'll try and get some pictures of it for you later.

Well, I think that's about all that's happened in the past few days. If anything else happens, I'll let you know. Until next time, stay cool and rock on!

This is the one I'm going to be getting. She is so freakin cute!

This the the little sexy one that LaVaughn's getting. Also very, very cute.

This is how far we have to go. But that's just from Poplar Bluff, not our place. We just did it form there cause we know how to get to PB.

This is the bathroom at the park. Extremely gross inside.

An old ass sand box. I think it's mostly dirt now, lol.

The table section. It's pretty cool.

This was just a pretty cool pic that I took. It's right next to the tables.

The swings. Super fun place, lol.

The teeter totter. Not sure if that's how you spell it or not, oh well.
An awesome lady bug picture that LaVaughn took. The full size is awesome looking.

Me trying to hole Milla's face toward the came. She wont dare look at us while we're outside.

This was an good one that LaVaughn took. I just love the "Ole Swimmin Hole" part. Super classy, lol.

This one was right after I tried to take Milla in the bathroom. Notice how hard she is pulling away. The leash is super tight.

This is my favorite of Milla that LaVaughn took. Super cute.

These are some far out flowers that I got. They look like they're glowing.

This was one that LaVaughn too while we were driving. It is so majestic looking.

This was at the graveyard. You can't really see a date on it though.

This was one that looked like it was out of the ground. Totally weird.

This is more of it. Creepy looking...

This one was so old looking.

Another old one.

This was a WWII one. We just had to get this one.

Movie reviews and some other stuff...

The last couple of days have been fairly busy. That's why I haven't blogged or anything. Yesterday I had to go get our tags renewed and today I had to take our grandma to the doctor. But today I think I have time to write a pretty nice blog. So here we go...

Well first I'm going to give you a little update on the sugar glider situation. We still haven't got one. We were so tempted to get one from a local pets store (cause they have one female) but thankfully, we refused. But it was so tempting. I'm just getting so sick of PetsWay saying that they'll have one in and then the next minute, they wont. That's why it was so tempting. It would've been a sure thing if the lady hadn't said that it was kind of mean. That's like the main reason we didn't go get it. And that it's like $50 more than what PetsWay charges. That was another factor. I called PetsWay today and talked to a lady and she said that their truck hadn't arrived yet. So I asked her to call if it did. So hopefully we get one tonight or tomorrow. That's about all of the sugar glider news. Oh, we ordered a couple things from a sugar glider site. It's http://gliderconnection.com/glider/. It's a really cool site with loads of cheap stuff. We got a wheel, some strawberry nectar, and some disposable bonding patches all for the low, low price of $10. So extremely cheap. There's also this other site that has loads and loads of different foods and treats for sugar gliders. It's http://www.exoticnutrition.com/. They also have stuff for other animals like hedgehogs and prairie dogs. They're both really cool sites.

Well, the other day we were looking into some gilder bonding pouches. We found a few really cute one, but none that were girly enough. So then LaVaughn was like, "I bet my mom could make us some." so off to her house we went. After we described them to her she seemed pretty confident about making them. So then all we had to do was pick out the material. And thankfully my wonderful aunt is an avid quilt maker, so we had loads of material to choose from. And of course, we found the perfect colors. We had a pink color for the outside, a tan fuzzy inside, an awesome color for the lining around the mesh window and some mesh off of an old cat toy that she had. It was all too perfect. So today, she brought us the finished product. They are so freakin cute. She did a wonderful job. No, wonderful isn't the right word... spectacular! They look so professionally made. And one of the coolest things about them, they're one of a kind. How awesome is that? So here are some pictures of the finished product...

This is the front of one. It is so cute.

This is just a picture of both of them.

The fuzzy inside.

And this is the awesome mesh window with the lining that matches the straps. So awesome.

Ok, now for some movie reviews. Like always, we got some new movies. But these movies aren't super huge or anything. These are just some movies that we find when we aren't looking for anything in particular. The first one is called, Eden Lake. This was one of the coolest movies I've seen in a long time. It was so good. It's about a couple that goes camping. And while they're camping, they run into some trouble making kids. But these aren't your normal bullies of today. These kids are hard core. I'm not going to give you too many details. You'll have to find out more on your own. This is definitely a must see movie. I give it a 8/10. Please, go rent it today. OK, next on my list is Amusement. This wasn't a bad movie. It's mostly about a guy that got bullied as a kid and now he's seeking vengeance. It got pretty good acting in it. One girl that I've seen in more that one good movie. So I think I would give it a 7/10. That seems suitable. Next is Borderline Cult. Please, for the love of everything that's holy, don't watch this movie. It was so not good and oh so cheaply made. If I had to rate this I would give it a 2.5/10. Ok, now for Beyond The Wall Of Sleep. Most of you might know the title from the legendary horror/sci-fi writer, H.P. Lovecraft. Although nothing like the short story, it's a fairly nice take on the cult classic. I think I would give it a 5.5/10. The picture quality wasn't the greatest. Moving on to Session 9. We didn't really finish this one, but it didn't seem like it was going to be too bad. It (like Beyond The Wall Of Sleep) is about a mental hospital. It has a couple actors that I've seen in other movies, so the acting isn't super bad. But the picture quality is a little shaky. So I don't have a whole lot to go on yet. But so far I give it a 6/10. That's all that I have to rate right now. We did get some more new movies Sunday though. We got Hit and Run. Hatchet, and Lakeview Terrace. We've seen Lakeview Terrace, we just hadn't got it yet. For those of you who haven't seen it, it's awesome. But come on, it has Sam Jackson in it. How bad can it be? I'll give it a 8/10. It was super awesome. I said there wasn't anymore ratings, but there was. Sorry about that. I think that's all for now.

Well, well, well. That was a mighty long blog. Hope all of you awesome rockers enjoyed it. Until next time. Be cool and rock on!

Song of the day: Lola by The Kinks

An adorable pic of grandma that I took in the waiting room at the doctors office.

A pic that I took of myself in the bathroom. Didn't mean to close my eyes though.
And here's another one of me. But I think two pics is too many. This is probably a once in a lifetime thing that will never ever happen again, lol. Peace bitches!

Another wasted trip...

Ugh, I'm getting so sick of dealing with Petsway. We went back up there today expecting to get our sugar glider, but oh no. The still hadn't heard from the people. So we waited around there until like 3:30. Then I called again and asked if they found anything out and all she said was, "No, still nothing yet." and then I was like, "Well should I just special order one?" and she was like, "Well I already special ordered one just in case they didn't bring the other ones." and then I was like, "Oh, ok." and that was pretty much it.

Before that conversation took place we had went to Pets R Us for a little bit. Didn't really do too much there. We just walked around for a while. They have this awesome ferret tent that we need for Ben so bad. We'll so have to get that before long. That's about all with PRU though.
After we left there it was around 11:00 I think. Then we were talking about going to a pizza place called, Godfather's Pizza. We've had a few people tell us how awesome that place was. So we decided to have lunch there. And overall, it was pretty nice. The food was pretty good and the atmosphere was awesome. Nice private booths and a reasonable price. For both of us to get the buffet and a soda, it was $15. Not bad on my end. I would give the place a 7.5/10. So if you live near one, you should check it out.

After we got done eating, we went to Walmart for a while. All we needed there was cat litter and some plates for the animals. But we were in there for over an hour. We mostly dicked around and fought each other. That was pretty sweet. But that was about it.

Well, I guess that's all I'm going to yap about for now. Hope you enjoyed reading. Until next time, peace out and rock hard.

A view from our booth.

Some of the tables they have.

LaVaughn's glass.

My glass. Empty, lol.

And finally, our leftover food.
