You have how many sugar gliders?

Okay, do you guys remember be talking about that adorable little mosaic boy that Annette posted a while back? Well... we're getting him!!! And you don't have to tell me, I KNOW we don't really need another one, but we're getting him anyways! She's offering us a really sweet deal for him, but we probably still shouldn't -- it's not like we have the extra anyways!

Especially since we're planning on buying new cages AND new wheels! Speaking of, I sent the money to David a little while ago for the wheels. He said they would be shipped out tomorrow!! I can't WAIT!

Back to Drew - who has yet to be named by us... he is SO cute! Annette sent like 15 pictures of him the day after I asked about him and, now that we're getting him, I can share them!! He's seriously one of the prettiest mosaic joeys I've ever seen in my life!

He'll live with Dustin -- out little leu boy -- for a few weeks, until Dustin movies in with Chloe. Then he'll be all alone. I hate that. We're wanting to put him with one of Kira and Logan's little girls before we get Logan neutered, but who knows. If that's the case, he's going to live alone for a long time, which I hate. We'll just have to spend lots and lots of extra time with him.

Okay, enough glider talk for now. LaVaughn and I went to town earlier in hopes of renting Dead Island Riptide, but it was out. :( Hopefully we can get it over the weekend.

While we were stopped at a stop sign, I couldn't help but notice the government car that was in front of us. The plates read, "For official government use only." Makes you wonder what they were doing in a tiny ass town like Piedmont! Of course, I got a picture of the plates, couldn't help myself. Now lets just hope I don't get in trouble posting the picture, lol.

The lighting on our road was just so beautiful on the drive back, we just had to stop and take a couple pictures. Since it rained not too long ago, there was a beautiful stream of water running under the bridge. Look for those pictures below.

Well, I suppose that's all for now.

Here's Drew!!!
(who's yet to be named by us)

Is that not an angelic face!?

Look at that tail!

Prettiest cow eared mosaic sugar glider ever!!

Is he not sooooo cute!? I love his ears to pieces!!

I completely forgot to mention this... I got to see Sadie's joey's tail earlier! Not much longer...

Milla and Una, looking out the window. This was zoomed all the way from the driveway.

Here's the government license plates.

Beautiful stream.

This looks like a majestic brook. Beautiful!

Beautiful water stream.

These are some new sugar glider food containers that we got for when we go to Arkansas. We'll pre-cut and freeze all the gliders food and then my lovely aunt will just put them in their cages a few hours before they wake up. The orange lid will be for doubles, and the blue will be for our single. :)

Omg, this Australian liquorice is the best ever!!

Ah, that's more like it...

We finally got around to cleaning out and fixing our new cage up for Chloe and Violet. For the cage to be of cheaply made, it's actually pretty sturdy! It also looks a lot bigger tan the black one that we bought a couple years ago. There are very few damaged spots on the cage, but the drop tray was a complete nightmare!

There was a pretty decent size crack along the base, but we figured some silicone would fix that right up... wrong! The entire time we were trying to apply it, it would slip and get all goopy and nasty. While we were in the middle of repairing it, I turned and asked LaVaughn, "Exactly how long does it take for this stuff to dry?" with a discouraged look, she replied, "24 hours." That's when I said "screw this" and went for the glue. I'm SO glad this took place in the garage, it would have made a hideous mess in the house.

After 30 minutes of gluing and wining, I thought to myself, "What about our old drop tray? The one that came with the black cage?" I quickly jumped to my feet and headed out the door. And of course, my outside mission was in the middle of a horrid rain storm. I walked around the house, then proceeded to the chicken coop/barn. As soon as I walked in the gate, I remember that the drop tray was in behind the coop from when we covered the armadillos cage! For the armadillo story, click HERE!

I ran back the the house, washed the drop tray off and then proceeded to the garage. And luckily, it fit! Since the cage it white, the black drop tray looked a tad off, but not too bad. At least it fit and at least we don't have to try and fix the piece of shit that came with it.

And you know those Guillotine doors that come with the cages? The ones that slide up and down? Well, we changed those from slide up and down to pull up and out doors! I watched a Youtube video about it a while back and told LaVaughn. Being the awesome, handy ladies that we are, we didn't need instructions. The downside is that we didn't have any extra hinges lying around, so we has to make one with a ziptie. It worked though.

We got the cage in the glider room and got everything sit up. And do you remember all those pre-made cage sets that we made a couple weeks ago? Well all but one of those sold and we both took it as a sign to keep it for the girls. And that we did! Unfortunately, we were a couple c-links short (thanks a lot, Erika!!) so we had to tie a couple things. It doesn't look bad, though.

Now all we need are some good wheels! Time to go rob a bank... :O)

Love & Peace

Nice new(ish) sugar glider cage and cage set.

Check out this awesome food dish for Emilie and Sally! It came with the kennel that we're going to ship Emma and Eliza in.

The calm after the storm...

More like the awesomeness (not sure if that's a word) after the storm. Yesterday and today were awesome.

Well Sunday, we were just sitting around not doing too much. So we thought we'd check our email. LaVaughn was sitting at the desk and I was lying on my bed. Then LaVaughn was like, "Dude, we got like 5 emails from her." (her being the lady we're getting our gliders from). So I like floated up to the computer in amazement of what she said. And can you guess why she sent so many emails? Well, if you have no clue, let me fill you in. She finally sent pictures! We were so stoked. All together, she sent 9. LaVaughn got 5 of hers and I got 4. But I didn't let that get me down. I was thrilled that we finally got some. And they are SO adorable. The pictures made me want them so much more. And the lady was nice enough to ask if we wanted her to put the two girls together when they got old enough. And of course, we said yes. But the downside, they're pretty much identical. She brought that up as well. She said that she would have someone hold one and she would compare the two. Hoping to find a difference between them. After we got the pictures, we decided to do some comparing of our own. And guess what we found? A difference. Their right arms are different. My little one has a stripe down her right arm and LaVaughn's is solid. As soon as we found out we emailed her and asked if she would check it out for us. So, hopefully that works out...

As for today... it was equally awesome. We got our other package of glider stuff in the mail. It's all so awesome. We got out other food dish, some canned snails, some yogurt tropicals, a bag of wombaroo, and last but not least, some bee pollen. And in case some of you don't know what wombaroo is, it's a high protein supplement. You mix honey, water, wombaroo, bee pollen, and 3 eggs together to make an HPW mix. Then you freeze it and serve. Now don't mix all of that together, there's a certain way you have to do it. So, if you can't find it online, feel free to email us (kitty_kats06@yahoo.com) and we'll gladly send you the recipe.

Well, I think that's all that I have for today. Hope you enjoyed it. Until next time... get back in the New York groove and rock & roll all night. Oh, and party everyday! Peace.

Song of the day: Do It Again by Steely Dan

This is an awesome one of April (LaVaughn's).

Sexy little April again.

Another one of April.

This is probably my fave of April. The lady said that she was scared of the camera. How cute.

This is the last one of her.

This little sexy belongs to me. Her name is Gale right now.

Another great face shot of Gale.

She looks scared here.

This is the last one of Gale. And one of my faves. They're both so adorable.

This is all the awesome stuff that we got in the mail today. We ordered some more today too. We should get it before the weekend... hopefully.

This is the canned snails. Ugh, so nasty, but they're going to look so cute eating them.

Our other food dish.

Our bee pollen. Can't wait to smell it.

Our huge bag of wombaroo.

And last but not least, our yogurt tropicals. This stuff looks awesome. It has yogurt covered raisins, dried bananas, and dried papayas. It's so cool.

Who'll stop the rain?...

Ugh, the past 24 hours have been a nightmare! But, thanks to PayPal and a very speedy mail delivery, it made everything a little better. So, here we go...

Well Wednesday I had to take our grandma to dialysis. And while I was gone, LaVaughn was waiting on PayPal to go through. The lady that we're getting our sugar gliders from needed a $100 deposit on each glider. and this had to be done through PayPal. Anyway, we called and text each other all day. And then finally, I got the call. LaVaughn told me that the money was in there. And as fast as we got it, we sent it. I called her to let her know, but she wasn't home. So I talked to her husband instead. He told me that he would let her know. Then later that night, we got an email from her saying, "Thanks, I got the deposit." we were so stoked. And now on her site (exoticsugargliders.com) it says "Deposit Taken" under our beautiful little gliders.

Ok, lets talk about yesterday. Around 11:30 in the AM, I woke up. But, it wasn't to sunshine and rainbows, it was to a freakin tornado! Well. not literally, but pretty much. The wind was almost blowing us away. But at the time, I didn't think too much of it. I was more worried about the electricity being out than anything else. So around 12:30, LaVaughn got up. We both sat there staring at the wall for like an hour. Then LaVaughn looked at me and was like, " I wonder if we got any of the stuff that we ordered?" so we got up and went outside. And sure enough, there was a big box on our car. Not sure why the mail lady/man puts the packages on our car and not on our porch. But anyway, we got some of the glorious stuff that we ordered from sugar-glider-store.com. It is the best site for sugar supplies. We got some freeze dried mealworms, blueberry and yogurt drops, pineapple and papaya sprinkles, apple wood chew sticks, and a stainless steel food dish that attaches to the side of the cage. It's all so awesome. We ordered more stuff Thursday. So hopefully we get it by Monday. Anyway, back to the blackout. We were in the dark for over 24 hours! It was HORRIBLE. I think I would rather chew my fingers off than have to go through that again. We were so bored. we just sat in the dark all night. Today started out just as sucky. Considering we woke up to no electricity... again. After about 2 hours of sitting around, we decided that we couldn't take it another night. We were going to go stay at a hotel. So I called and made the reservations. We were pretty happy about that. And then, when we were getting ready to go get some stuff, the lights came on. We were SO stoked. Never have I ever been so happy. It was a wonderful feeling. That's about all of that though. I don't like reminiscing too much.

In other news, we got a couple new pictures of our gliders the other day. They're pretty small, but oh so cute. We found then on one of the lady's sites. Hopefully we get some more before too long. The lady said that she would send us some pictures when she got time to take some. so we have that to look forward to. But I thinks that's all about them for now.

Well, this concludes today's blog. Hope you all enjoyed the ups and downs I had to write about. Until next time. You know what to do. Peace
