It's all over now, baby blue...

LaVaughn's high school friend, Angie, her mom, and her two kids all stopped by today for a visit. We've known she was coming for over a week now, which gave us plenty of time to prepare. Of course, we waited until yesterday to clean the house, clean ALL the glider cages, change cage sets, and trim a few nails. Have I mentioned that we work best under pressure? Cause we do.

The visit was nice, really nice actually. They arrived just after 2 and didn't leave until almost 8! I think it's safe to say everyone was getting along nicely, lol. We're already planing a BBQ and a trip to Elephant Rocks -- a place I've wanted to go for years! We're also going to Critter Lane soon, thanks to them. It was a pleasant visit indeed.

LaVaughn woke up early, I followed shortly after around 11. She was already in the kitchen making the cupcakes she promised them -- they're full on Oreo cupcakes... be jealous. While she was mixing away, I was busy scraping the filling out of the Oreos and crumbling up all the cookies. Some for the mix and some for the icing. They actually turned out really nice, not the icing part, but they tasted good. That's what counts, right? Her kids seemed to love them, so it was a win.

We rushed to town after and grabbed some food. Mainly because we were being lazy and didn't want to cook, also because my aunt and uncle insisted on it. Did I mention that they were visiting as well?

So that's our day. A day filled with family, friends, animals, and kids. I also need to point out that the gliders did amazing! As did the kids, they were super, super gentile. Just gotta give props to Declan, Ellie, Neal, Fiona, and Seamus -- they were the stars of the day in the kids eyes.

Love & Peace
